MMQG Sew-In Day

It's raining and very dark today but who cares?  It's Sew-In Day for the Maritime Modern Quilt Guild.  At my house!  What fun it is to have all my guild buddies come by and spend the day sewing and gabbing and who knows what!  It's all about the quilts, isn't it.  We are quilt nuts!   Just a short post because I have to get things ready.  No fussing, we are a very relaxed group.  Again, it's all about the quilting.  Check out the link and you can see all the quilty goodness we shared at our Show and Tell this past Thursday.  There is room for more so if you are interested please get in touch.

Here is what I will be working on today, hopefully.  I get easily sidetracked.  I want to get this little wallhanging quilted and ready to give to my Dad as he turns 87 next month.  It is a pattern by Boo Davis  called "Quilt in the Headlights" and when I saw the one that Jenn made, well I just had to make one too.  Only I didnt want it bed-sized.  So I just cut everything down to half-size and ended up with a 25 1/2" x 29 1/2" wallhanging size.  It didn't work out perfectly, but close is good enough, and actually it was a whole lot of fudging and I know it shows but my Dad won't care.  It is what it is! A modern quilt design inspired by the traditional pattern "Rail Fence".
Hope you get time to quilt today!
