This will be the second time making this quilt. I made it several years ago for my son, Alexander. He loved it to death and to pieces so he requested a new quilt. It had to be just like the first one. I don't really enjoy making a quilt that I have made before, but he begged me. Of course, I didnt cut up any flowery fabrics, it will be a solid mottled black quilters flannel plus the contrasting gold flannel for the trellis.
The second quilt that I cut out today is one that I have on my list of projects for The Library Project. (click on link to see my other picks) It is called "Basic Puzzle" from the book "Modern Basics" by Amy Ellis

Last Sunday, I had a little workshop in my basement sewing room. My Knitty Sister and My Knitty Cousin really wanted to try their hand at making a stuffed tea cozy like I made a while back. They finally found time and we had a wonderful day. Knitty Sister designed her cozy to match the backsplash in her condo. Not bad for her first time working with fabrics instead of yarn.
Here's how it looks in her kitchen
Knitty Cuz had a great time deciding on fabrics and ended up with a colourful diagonal design.
Hope you had some sewing time today.
I am linking up with The Needle and Thread Network. It has been a while since I linked up. Time flies by so fast.
