An old friend

Label on back
Here's a pic of a quilt that I made for my Mother,  March of 2001.  It is hand appliqued and hand quilted.  She wanted me to give it a much needed washing as her water in the country is not the best in the summer.  It is nice to have it in my house for a while.

A finish!

Since I work on several projects at one time, it seems to take a long time to get a finish.  But here is my Scrappy Star table runner all finished.  Handpieced, hand quilted and getting ready to be well used.  I have trouble with finishing my own UFOs but I did get this one finished, which belonged to Holly and came to me partially sewn. Holly knew she just wouldn't get it finished so she decided to gift it to someone who would and had a giveaway on her blog.  Great idea.  I won!   I finished the handpiecing of all the sweet little diamonds and then handquilted, 1/4" inside, all the light diamonds that surround the stars.  And of course, handstitched the binding to the back.  What a fun little project.  It now adorns my kitchen table and I love it so much.  I should have made it a bit longer, but that's OK.  It fits nicely on my coffee table in the family room too and looks just as lovely.
Thanks so much Holly.  Your giveaway was the best!
