A Quilt for Mother

Here is what I have been working on since last Wednesday.  This quilt top dates back several years.(1997 Yikes!)  It was a block of the month. My BQFF (best quilting friend forever) Kathy, jumped in to help me out because I was not enjoying making these blocks and had given up on them.  I was doing the freezer paper technique and it was not a pretty sight so she suggested we try the back basting method that she had just discovered and soon the blocks were all completed.  I started the handquilting last fall and didnt get too far so I picked it up again the other day and I am now determined to finish in the near future. I have almost six of the blocks quilted already. This will be a gift for my Mother.
Even though I machine quilt a lot now, I always have a handquilting project on the go.
I am linking up with The Needle and Thread Network today.
Stop by and see what other quilters are doing this week.
