Not the best outdoor pic as it was cloudy at the time. Since my last post nine days ago, I have been spending all my spare time sewing. Now its done!! Yay!! I am so proud of myself. I spent the last nine weeks working on this quilt top clue by clue and I did not start anything new or get bored or overwhelmed by it. I even learned a few new things. #1...Bias edges are not necessarily your worst nightmare!! Just take your time and dont overhandle...#2....Spray Starch is my new best friend!! really helps with stabilization of bias edges...#3...Read Directions!!...If it says to staystitch..then you must staystitch..I always tend to get ahead of myself or try to shortcut and end up unsuccessful but this time I took the time to read and reread and was quite successful!...#4..Who cares if two of the same fabric end up next to each other in a scrap quilt? not me!!
#5...I can make a large quilt and not buy new fabric to make it...It seems I have lots of fabric at home!!!
In between clues for this mystery I worked on some knitting UFOs . I am a hopeless knitter. The family doesnt call me Bumbleknit for nothing!! More on my knitting adventures later, or should I say misadventures! Here's a pic of a felted market bag that my younger sister, "The Knitter", made for our middle sister who will be arriving tomorrow from Malaysia for a quick visit. This bag is knitted with a yellow and a grey yarn held together and the result after felting is really nice.
